Automatic Test Equipment, Made in Germany
Turbodynamics GmbH was founded in 2006 by Stefan Thurmaier in Stephanskirchen (district of Rosenheim) and develops and manufactures Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and system integrations for the semiconductor industry. The product portfolio includes manipulators for test heads up to 750 kg, Industry 4.0-capable test trolleys for 100 to 600 kg, docking and interface systems such as the patented P-Dock® with an installed base of nearly 1.000 systems worldwide, direct docking solutions for 8" and 12" wafer probers, fully automatic probecard/loadboard handling and storage systems, conversion kits, P-Lift® pneumatic stand feet as well as Socket Quick Lock. All value creation takes place in-house: 3D design on 13 CAD stations, FEM simulation, an in-house milling shop with 5-axis milling machines and a placement robot, controller development as well as assembly and quality assurance in cleanroom quality. The P-Dock® systems achieve a repeatability of less than 10 µm at docking forces of up to several 1.000 N. Customers are the largest international semiconductor manufacturers in Asia, Europe and the USA, including Apple, Intel and Texas Instruments. The international TD offices include Santa Cruz (USA), Tokyo (Japan), Hsinchu (Taiwan), Bangkok (Thailand) and Manila (Philippines). More than 45 patents, four-time winner of the Deloitte Fast50 Award.
