About UBE Corporation Europe

UBE Corporation Europe is the European organization of the Japanese UBE Group, with its European headquarters and production site (Plant) in Spain. The company develops, produces and sells specialty chemical products and engineering plastics, including engineering polyamides (Dinalon®), engineering polyesters PBT (Dinadur®), polyolefins (Dinaplen®), polycarbonate and ABS/ASA compounds, acetal (POM), PMMA and SAN, as well as polyimide films and varnishes (UPILEX®, UPIA®). The product range also includes caprolactam, synthetic rubber, inorganic continuous fibers, ceramics, polyurethane precursors and UBECycle®-series recyclates from mechanical post-industrial recycling. Another business field is injection molding machines, which were consolidated in 2017 with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries into the companies Ube Machinery, U-MHI Platech and U&M Plastic Solutions. Customers come from the automotive, battery technology/e-mobility, rail transport, aerospace, mechanical engineering, construction, environment & energy, healthcare, food and smart cities sectors. In addition, UBE offers technical consulting on plastics processing, a Technical Center and SDS/product documentation.

History

1. 2017

   Merger of the injection molding machine businesses of Ube Industries and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries: Ube Machinery and U-MHI Platech, as well as the founding of U&M Plastic Solutions on January 1, 2017.

2. 2023

   In April 2023, UBE Corporation submits a commitment letter to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for validated GHG reduction targets.
