About Uhlmann Sonnenschirme
Uhlmann Sonnenschirme has been manufacturing large parasols and giant umbrellas for premium requirements since 1992 – exclusively in Germany, at its own umbrella manufactory in Uttenweiler-Dentingen in the district of Biberach. The product range comprises six type series (centre-mast parasols, high-wind parasols, giant umbrellas, free-arm parasols as well as custom-made special sizes) with more than 80 sizes from 4 m² to over 78 m² in round, square and rectangular shapes. The frames are made from recyclable aluminium (raw material 50–70 % recycled aluminium), powder-coated and completed with connecting parts made of steel or stainless steel as well as POM components. The canopies made of Sunacryl (solution-dyed polyacrylic, 290 g/m²) and AIRTEX classic (acrylate-coated polyester, 200 g/m²) are sewn and finished in-house. An in-house advertising department produces screen-printed designs on valances and canopy segments. Customers include market leaders in large-scale and outdoor gastronomy, public institutions, amusement parks, thermal baths and private individuals; distribution in the USA is handled by a general importer in California. Currently around 40–42 employees work year-round.
