About ULMIA
ULMIA GmbH, based in Langenenslingen (Baden-Württemberg), manufactures workbenches, multifunction tables, workbenches, drawer cabinets as well as a broad range of woodworking tools and measuring tools. The company emerged from the sawmill founded in 1888 by Anton Kessel (ANKE) in Andelfingen on the edge of the Swabian Alb, initially supplying carpentry and joinery businesses with construction timber and cut lumber from domestic woods. In the early 1950s, production of solid-wood work tables began, known for worktops made of finger-jointed beech laminated boards; in the 1970s, in-house sheet steel fabrication was added. Since 2002, the company has held the name and brand rights of ULMIA and manufactures ULMIA workbenches and woodworking tools in-house. Processes include CNC milling of aluminium precision parts, anodizing, hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating, sheet metal bending as well as woodworking and assembly. Customers come from industry, trades, education and home craftsmanship; production takes place as 'Made in Germany' in Langenenslingen.
