About Union Rösterei
Union Rösterei is a craft roastery from Bremen that produces coffee in accordance with traditional Bremen roasting craftsmanship. The roasting is hand-controlled using the long-time roasting process within a temperature range that allows the beans to be roasted evenly through, so that the full aroma spectrum can develop. The range includes its own coffee blends such as Nordlicht, Hansebrand, Küstenkind and Deichgold. The selection of green coffees takes place via a multi-stage testing process, starting with forty green coffee varieties from the coffee regions of the world, which are evaluated on an in-house sample roaster and by cupping roast samples. The roastery is located in the attic of the old brewery building of the Bremer Union Brauerei in the Walle district, beneath the historic Union lettering. The coffee is sold to gastronomy, food retail and offices in the region, and roastery tours are also offered.
