UNISENSOR Sensorsysteme GmbH is an owner-managed high-tech company for process analytics and process control headquartered in Karlsruhe. The internationally patented product portfolio includes sorting systems for the recycling industry based on laser spectroscopy (POWERSORT), CO2 quality assurance systems using optical absorption spectroscopy (CARBOSCAN), sniffer systems for refPET recycling bottles (UNISPECTRE), foreign-object inspection systems for reusable water containers (AQUASCREEN), and measuring and control systems for the printing industry (ALCOPRINT). The systems are used worldwide in the recycling, beverage bottling, gas and printing industries as well as by energy suppliers. Since its founding in 1990 by Prof. Dr. Gunther Krieg, a highly qualified team has been working closely with industry and technical universities to develop solutions that have set new standards in process engineering. The POWERSORT 360 sorts black plastics with a throughput of up to 10 tonnes per hour.
