About UNIWELD
UNIWELD Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Burbach, is an internationally active company with over 60 years of experience in special machinery and plant engineering. Key areas are automated welding and testing technology, including submerged arc welding systems, circumferential and longitudinal seam systems, hydrostatic testers, pipe end machining machines, X-ray systems as well as turning and positioning devices for workpieces up to 1,000 t. For over 30 years, UNIWELD has supplied highly precise production lines for the aerospace industry, in particular for the European Ariane programme; the tank welding systems operate with Friction Stir Welding (FSW) for materials that cannot be welded by arc processes. Further areas of application include pipe manufacturing, vessel and plant engineering, wind tower manufacturing, structural steelwork and shipbuilding. The group covers design, production and commissioning from a single source and offers retrofit, maintenance contracts and remote maintenance.
