About USM
Unterweser Stahl- und Maschinenbau GmbH (USM) has been active in hydraulic steel structures since 1992 and is a partner to major construction companies and steel groups on national and international port, flood protection and lock construction projects. The company manufactures and processes sheet piles, combined walls, beams, bearing piles, infill piles and large pipes, splices large pipes, performs circumferential weld seams up to 3,500 mm diameter and 98 t unit weight, and manufactures mooring dolphins, steel constructions and traverses. Further focal areas are metalworking, general and heavy steel construction, machinery and industrial plant construction, ship repair, CNC flame cutting, industrial services and port transshipment. Materials such as steel can be delivered by truck, rail or ship, transshipped, stored, processed, blasted and preserved, and shipped; at its own pier in the Fischereihafen, long material is loaded directly onto seagoing and inland waterway vessels. USM is part of the owner-managed Heinrich Rönner Group with 2,000 employees and 20 operating and production sites.
