About the project site
This website is not an industrial manufacturing operation but a private, non-commercial hobby project site by Wolfgang Schmidt from Emmelshausen. Its subject is the self-built, self-balancing 'Personal Transporter' called 'Runner' – a DIY Segway clone. The site offers a complete, freely available documentation of the project as well as supplementary content on Atmega microcontroller projects and power electronics (power FETs, IGBTs, protection circuits, cooling). Regular DIY-builder meetups also took place from 2012 to 2018. There are no manufacturing orders, no company in the legal sense, and no offers of contract work; the site serves solely for documentation and exchange with other DIY builders. Status of the website: 22.3.2019; the project is no longer maintained.
