About Urban Maschinenbau
Urban GmbH & Co. Maschinenbau KG, headquartered in Memmingen, develops and manufactures machines, manufacturing and production lines for window fabrication. The portfolio includes welding and cleaning machines, machining and sawing centres, extraction and crane systems as well as logistics and automation solutions such as automatic sorting, distribution and buffer systems including glass bonding. The systems process plastic window profiles made of PVC as well as aluminium profiles and are designed as customised production concepts – from individual machines to fully automated lines. In addition to production, the company offers design, commissioning, remote maintenance, service and original spare parts. Founded in 1947 as an electrical installation business, the company entered mechanical engineering in 1967 with the first single-head welding machine for plastic windows. URBAN supplies over 100 customer countries worldwide from its locations in Memmingen, Forchach, Fredericton and Cambridge.
