URBEN + KYBURZ AG, headquartered in Etziken SO, is a family-owned precision mechanics company that manufactures high-precision metal components in medium to large series. Its core competence lies in complete mechanical machining: CNC turning (including precision and hard turning), CNC milling and drilling, gear cutting (broaching up to module 3 mm, power skiving) as well as a broad spectrum of grinding and fine-finishing processes such as cylindrical external, internal, center and double-disc grinding, lapping, honing, polishing and vibratory finishing. In addition, the company offers parts cleaning with multi-chamber and ultrasonic systems, dewatering and demagnetization; heat treatment, surface treatment and external gearing are realized with qualified partners. All common metallic materials are machined. Customers come from the hydraulic pump, earthmoving machinery, power tool and medical technology sectors as well as from the machinery, furniture and automotive supply industries and aviation. More than 150 employees produce in shift operation at two production sites in Etziken and supply an international customer base.

Foundation of the two-man company by Paul Urben and Max Kyburz; initially manufacturing optical lenses and mechanical components.
- 1986
Early death of company founder Paul Urben; his sons Rolf and Bruno Urben continue to run the company in the 2nd generation. Since then, the workforce has grown from 40 to over 150 employees.
