About URS Laboratories

URS Laboratories is a manufacturer of Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) for military and civilian missions. The company produces manned and unmanned, all-weather and all-terrain capable rover systems which, depending on the mission profile, can be driven by an operator or remotely controlled. The vehicles reach speeds of over 120 km/h and, depending on configuration, carry payloads of up to 350 kg (standard) or up to 500 kg (armed variants). Concepts of operations (CONOPS) include Medevac/CASEVAC with special trailers and integrated stretchers, ISNR reconnaissance with long-range, thermal and night vision cameras, resupply missions, mine and IED detection, as well as armed variants with customer-specific integrable remote-controlled weapon stations. The URS vehicle also serves as a mothership for the small INDRO reconnaissance robot, which, according to the data sheet, is in service with the U.S. Special Forces. The systems are distributed worldwide.
