USD Formteiltechnik GmbH is an owner-managed family company headquartered in Meinerzhagen (South Westphalia) with a second facility in Emsdetten (Münsterland). Since its founding in 1977, the company has specialised in the cost-effective sourcing and delivery of drawing-based metal formed parts, components and assemblies. The portfolio includes investment casting, precision casting, sand casting including ADI heat treatment, die casting and gravity die casting, sintering, MIM metal injection moulding, forging, stamping, machining and welded assemblies. In addition, heat treatments, surface treatments and assembly are offered. More than 100 material grades are processed, including steel, stainless steel, grey and ductile cast iron, aluminium and copper alloys. Customers come, among others, from automotive engineering, mechanical and apparatus engineering, agricultural machinery, process and plant engineering as well as medical and rehabilitation technology. With around 80 employees, USD supplies customers worldwide in around 30 countries; the range extends from 0.01 g small parts to components weighing up to 1.6 tonnes.

Quality
In the Quality and Service Centre established in 2022, built according to VDI/VDE 2627, grade 2, inspections are carried out in micro-climatised measuring rooms using 3D coordinate measuring machines, optical measuring machines, contour and roughness measuring devices, hardness testing machines and spectrometers. CAQ software integrated with the ERP system supports quality assurance and quality management from planning through to the evaluation of quality indicators.
