About UST Umwelt-Systemtechnik GmbH
UST Umwelt-Systemtechnik GmbH develops and manufactures UVC systems for chemical-free water disinfection at its Gera site (Thuringia). Under the product brands PURE WATER (pools, ponds, drinking water) and ULTRA V (industrial water disinfection), systems with 16 to 1,200 W of electrical power for flow rates of 0.3 to 100 m³/h are produced; since 2004, more than 15,000 systems have been manufactured and commissioned worldwide. The reactors are made entirely of polished, welded stainless steel (V4A, 1.4404, 1.4571) and are electropolished; UVC lamps operate in quartz glass immersion tubes. In addition to UVC disinfection (254 nm), the company offers combination systems with ozone (185 nm/254 nm) as well as UVC immersion emitters for storage tanks. Fields of application include cooling circuits and cooling towers, vegetable washing systems, wastewater treatment plants, drinking water treatment, fish and livestock farming, as well as hospital wastewater treatment projects in Kenya and Tanzania. Founded in 1991, the company with five employees also performs maintenance and installation of the systems.
