About us – The Art of Stone Processing
Uwe Petry – Feine Steine GmbH is a master company for natural stone, ceramics and tiles founded in 1995, based in Schmelz in the Saarland. The company manufactures kitchen worktops, stairs, window sills, washbasins, gravestones, façade and wall cladding, terrace surfaces and translucent, backlit stone veneers. Over 500 natural stone varieties are processed, such as marble, granite, sandstone, gneiss, onyx, slate, basalt lava and quartzite, as well as agglomerated marble, quartz composite stone, ceramics and glass mosaic. Production combines traditional stonemasonry craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology: 5-axis CNC machining, CNC programming, waterjet cutting and more than 50 surface treatment options such as flame-finished, slip-resistant surfaces. Projects are accompanied by 3D planning and CAD visualization and implemented turnkey including delivery and installation. A team of 20 serves private customers and commercial projects across Europe; since 2016 there has been a branch in Mallorca for high-quality properties, fincas and villas.
