About Vahterus
Vahterus Oy is a Finnish family business founded in 1990, with headquarters and production in the village of the same name in Vakka-Suomi, Western Finland. The company develops and manufactures fully welded Plate & Shell heat exchangers (PSHE), in which a welded plate pack sits inside a robust shell (pressure vessel) – without gaskets. Every heat exchanger is custom-designed and manufactured for requirements such as heating, cooling, condensation and evaporation; designs, materials and plate sizes are combined individually. The PSHE is used, among other things, in the chemical and process industries, energy technology, refrigeration and ship systems, with over 90,000 installed units worldwide. The company maintains subsidiaries in the UK, Germany, China and the USA and supplies customers worldwide.
