About Van der Graaf

Van der Graaf is a family business founded in 1948, headquartered in Vollenhove in the Netherlands, and manufactures drum motors for conveyor systems. The product range includes sizes with diameters from 80 to 800 mm, power ratings from 0.04 to 132 kW, and drum lengths up to 1600 mm at speeds up to 30 m/s. In addition to standard drum motors, idler pulleys, bearing housings and accessories such as rubber lagging, backstops, electromagnetic brakes, encoders and sprockets are offered. Special versions are available, including stainless steel design up to Ø 315 mm, vertical mounting, underwater operation IP 68, insulation class H, food-grade oil (H1), thermal switches, CSA/UL approvals and ATEX Zone 22. Gear components are machined on automatic lathes, the gear flanks are ground and partly honed. Production takes place in Vollenhove (Netherlands) and Brampton (Canada); through branch offices and a worldwide dealer network the products are available internationally. In Germany, the products are sold by Van der Graaf Antriebstechnik GmbH based in Rheine.
