About VDF FEDERN

The VDF FEDERN Group, headquartered in Hagen, has specialised in technical springs since 1908 and produces compression springs, extension springs, torsion springs and wire bending parts, axle springs, stamped-bent parts as well as complex assemblies. The chipless cold forming is carried out on more than 50 coiling machines with wire dimensions from 0.3 to 16 mm, followed by heat treatment, spring end grinding, shot peening, plasticising and surface coating. Following the merger with RENZING in 2024, the portfolio also includes door and gate technology as well as brake systems for cars and trucks. With over 400 million individually produced parts per year for more than 500 customers, the group ranks among the five largest spring manufacturers in Europe. The most important customer is the automotive supply industry with over 55 percent of sales; further industries include mechanical and plant engineering, electrical, agricultural machinery, construction and fittings, household appliance and furniture industries as well as measurement and control technology. The group comprises VDF VOGTLAND Federntechnik, VDF Umformtechnik (KREUTZER stamped-bent technology), VOGTLAND Autosport and the VOGTLAND Holding, spread across four plants in Hagen, Reilingen and Lüdenscheid.
