On behalf of the district, the company organizes waste disposal in the region, including the regular collection of residual waste and recyclables, the collection of bulky waste, and the fee-based provision of bulky waste containers up to 30 m³ for quantities over 5 m³. In addition, VEVG operates recycling yards, including in Jatznick and on Usedom, and conducts a mobile hazardous waste collection for problematic waste from private households. Further tasks include waste consultation, information campaigns on waste separation, and the provision of an online waste calendar for the different disposal areas of the district. Customers are the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald, private households, as well as businesses and institutions. The company is headquartered in Karlsburg and is registered in the commercial register of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund under HRB 671.
