About Verdant Wave
Verdant Wave develops plastic raw materials based on agricultural by-products, specifically hemp hurds, which are processed from various industries and from farmers. By using hemp as a raw material, the plastics industry can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 50% and petroleum use by up to 38–40%, while utilizing biomass waste. The company offers two material lines: a durable hemp-blend material with an adjustable formula and a biodegradable hemp-hurd material. Both materials are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing production processes and enable companies to meet regulatory and performance requirements without cost disadvantages or loss of functionality. Hemp binds carbon and requires hardly any pesticides or fertilizers, making it a suitable raw material for environmentally friendly plastics. Verdant Wave lists locations in Berlin, Vienna, Oslo and Istanbul.
