About VGT-DYKO

VGT-DYKO GmbH is a manufacturer specializing in refractory ceramics, headquartered in Großalmerode (Northern Hesse). The company produces ceramic products that are refractory, heat-resistant, fracture-resistant and wear-resistant, including products for general furnace construction, kiln furniture, components for the glass industry as well as unshaped products such as mortars, cements, refractory castables, casting compounds and patching compounds. Manufacturing covers the entire process, from material preparation in 10 separate mixers, via shaping (hand ramming, hydraulic pressing, vibration pressing, vibration and slip casting), computer-controlled drying and firing at up to 1,800 °C, to finishing by drilling, grinding and cutting. The material range includes silicon carbide (SICA), fireclay (HASSIA), corundum (DINIX), mullite (MULLIDUR), sillimanite (SILIDUR), zircon mullite (DYKODUR), cordierite, lightweight refractory materials (SUPO) and fused silica (Vitrodur). Customers come from the glass industry, steel industry, waste incineration, energy generation, chemical and petrochemical industries, furnace construction, carbon black reactors and the reactor industry. With an in-house laboratory equipped with testing apparatus and its own in-house mould-making team (joinery and metalworking shop), VGT-DYKO covers development and production entirely in-house and supplies, via international partners, among others to Turkey, the Middle East, the USA, the Czech Republic and
