Viavi Solutions Inc. (VIAVI) is a US company for network test, measurement and assurance technology headquartered in Chandler, Arizona. The company develops and manufactures test and monitoring equipment for broadband and IP network operators, data centers and mobile networks, including field test instruments (T-BERD/MTS, OneExpert, CellAdvisor), lab testers for optical high-speed networks up to 400G, and software platforms such as StrataSync and Observer. The portfolio also includes optical thin-film coating technology: anti-counterfeiting pigments (OVP, OVMP) for banknotes and product labels, color-shift paints for the automotive industry, 3D sensing optics (including Microsoft Kinect), and MicroNIR spectrometers for non-destructive material analysis. Further products serve aerospace and defense, such as optics for guidance systems. Viavi emerged in August 2015 from the spin-off of JDSU; its roots go back to the founding of Uniphase in 1979. In October 2025, Viavi acquired the HSE, network security and channel emulation test business from Spirent Communications.
