About Viega Austria
Viega is a manufacturer of installation technology with more than 125 years of experience in piping systems, prewall and drainage technology. Viega GmbH in Attersee am Attersee is the Austrian subsidiary of the family-owned company Viega GmbH & Co. KG headquartered in Attendorn; worldwide the group employs over 5,500 staff at ten production sites, four of which are in Germany. Components for piping systems as well as prewall and drainage technology are manufactured, including press connectors and pipe press systems made of copper, stainless steel, galvanized steel and multilayer composite pipes; at the Niederwinkling plant, metal composite, all-plastic and corrugated pipes are produced using extrusion technology. With around 17,000 products, the company serves residential construction, public buildings, industry and trade, hotels, healthcare, leisure facilities and building services engineering (MEP). For industrial applications, Viega offers material resistance testing with written approval. The products are used, among others, in projects such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Allianz Arena Munich, the Pentagon and the Indian research station Bharati in Antarctica.
