About VINOFED

VINOFED is the worldwide federation of the major international competitions for wines and spirits, currently uniting 15 major competitions under one roof. The federation was constituted in 2025 by the members of the former federation based in Sierre (Switzerland); the constituent assembly took place on 04.03.2025 in Cannes. Its legal form is an Association Loi de 1901 under French law, headquartered at the Maison des Œnologues de France in Paris. The member organizations organize their competitions in accordance with the OIV (Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin) regulations or, in the absence thereof, the VINOFED regulations. The federation coordinates the dates and venues of the competitions, provides shared services to members, awards the Prix VINOFED for the best wines in the red, white, rosé and sparkling wine categories, and guarantees consumers the quality of awarded products. With the Sceau d’Approbation de Qualité, it distinguishes wines scoring at least 85 out of 100 points, evaluated by professional international juries according to OIV standards.
