About Vitalsprossen

Vitalsprossen is a family business from Ashausen south of Hamburg that has been producing organic sprouts and germinated seedlings since 1985. Led by Christoph, Seynab and Hadiya Gurtmann, the business is in transition to the second generation. The sprouts are produced from organically grown and certified seed, including alfalfa sprouts and mung beans; the range includes various varieties and mixes. Customers are wholesalers and the gastronomy sector; in the health food retail trade, the products are available in Lower Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, North Rhine-Westphalia and Schleswig-Holstein. As a sprout-growing operation, the company is subject to strict inspection criteria by LAVES (registration number NI 55555) and is certified as an organic control body DE-ÖKO-005 under the EU Organic Regulation.
