About VitroDUR
VitroDUR Glasveredelungs GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2000 by Johannes Rickert and Heinz Schneider and specialises in the manufacture of toughened safety glass. At the Hachenburg site, 30 employees produce safety glass from the VitroDUR ESG and VitroDUR TVG product lines in two shifts in sizes up to 2,580 × 4,900 mm; VitroDUR ESG-H is manufactured up to 2,500 × 4,900 mm. Various types of glass with thicknesses from 4 to 19 mm are processed. The service portfolio includes an extensive glass warehouse, glass processing and delivery of standard products with a lead time of 4 to 6 working days. For glass thicknesses of 5 to 12 mm, the relevant tests were carried out by MPA Darmstadt. The company is now run by the next generation of the Schneider family.
