VKK STANDARDKESSEL Köthen GmbH manufactures individually designed boiler systems for generating steam and heat for worldwide use in heating and combined heat and power plants. The product range includes steam boilers (saturated and superheated steam 2–70 t/h, ≥38 bar, up to 450 °C), hot water boilers (4–50 MW), waste heat boilers, electric and electrode boilers, hybrid boilers as well as steam accumulators, vessels, economisers, heating surfaces and corrugated furnace tubes. The value chain extends from planning through manufacturing, delivery, installation and commissioning to engineering services. Materials are mainly steel and stainless steel; in Köthen, heat-resistant manufacturing is carried out, among other things, with an in-house corrugated tube machine. The boilers are operated with natural gas, liquid fuels, renewable fuels, hydrogen, electricity, waste heat and special fuels. Customers come from the automotive, food, paper, chemical and heavy industries as well as energy supply, brewing and dairy processing. More than 150 employees work at the Köthen and Mülheim an der Ruhr sites. Since 2024, the company has been part of the Babcock Wanson Group.
