About us
Vogel Hornwaren GmbH, headquartered in Zirndorf (Middle Franconia), is a manufacturer of drinking horns, signal horns, horn cups, bowls, cutlery, combs and jewelry made from genuine cattle horn. Production is done by hand, now already in the 5th generation. The raw materials are sourced predominantly from Africa and India; the horn is a by-product of meat production, comes from animals not covered by the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, and is veterinary-inspected. All items are chemically and hygienically cleaned; the drinking horns are manufactured at the German facility and coated inside with a food-safe lacquer. As these are purely natural products, colors vary from light to dark and the finish varies by nature. Distribution is exclusively to resellers, not to private individuals.
