About Vogl Electronic

Vogl Electronic GmbH is a family-owned company free of corporate group structures, based in Salching (Bavaria), and has been developing safety systems for high- and medium-voltage installations since 1986. The focus is on optoelectronic systems for arc detection (LiBo), optical partial discharge monitoring (OTEM) for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS/GIL) and transformers, as well as earth fault and phase fault detection (ESK) for medium-voltage installations up to 110 kV. At the heart of the systems are the company's own light receivers (light sensors), which are connected via fiber optic cables to central evaluation units and, thanks to their optical measurement technology, are immune to electromagnetic interference sources. In addition to its product business, the company offers mobile partial discharge diagnostics (OTEM/UHF) with a test report, commissioning including commissioning reports, and training with certificate. More than 70,000 monitored gas compartments in over 20 countries demonstrate the international use of the systems by energy suppliers, transmission network operators and leading manufacturers of high- and medium-voltage switchgear.

Systems & Measurement Technology

OTEM

Optical partial discharge monitoring

Detects and localizes partial discharges down to the individual gas compartment in GIS/GIL and transformers, also as mobile testing.

LiBo

Arc detection

Location of fault arcs down to the individual gas compartment within milliseconds for GIS, GIL and medium-voltage installations.

ESK

Earth fault and phase fault detection

Detects earth faults in medium-voltage installations up to 110 kV and accelerates disconnection before short circuit.

LWL

Light receivers/light sensors

Basic module for detecting the smallest optical signals, compatible with all common GIS manufacturers and suitable for retrofitting.
