About Vogt AG Stanztechnik
Vogt AG Stanztechnik, headquartered in Meinisberg (Switzerland), was founded in 1978 as Press-Elec AG in Grenchen and specializes in the design and construction of stamping tools as well as the manufacture of stamped parts for the electrical and electronics industry. In its in-house toolmaking, all tool-specific components are produced on CNC machines; the range includes wire EDM, CNC milling and CNC small-hole EDM. In the stamping shop, Bruderer automatic stamping presses with 25 t and 60 t press force produce precision parts from copper, steel, stainless steel, brass, nickel silver, bronze and spring steel strip up to 2.5 mm strip thickness – from plug and piercing contacts to battery and rechargeable battery contacts to cable connections and SMD stamped parts, also on reel. Tool design is carried out throughout in 3D with SolidWorks and Quickpress; quality assurance is supported by a measuring room with the fully automatic Quick-Image measuring system, connected to the CAQ software IQS. The company is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, trains polymechanics apprentices and has been wholly owned by the Vogt family since 2013.

Materials and Processes
Copper
Used for current conductors such as SMD contact bridges and high-current bridges.
Steel
Base material for mechanical components such as plug tabs, spring contacts and holders.
Stainless steel
For corrosion-resistant battery contacts and holders.
Brass
Main material for plug contacts, cable connections and sleeves, also nickel-plated.
Nickel silver
For connectors, piercing contacts and cover plates.
Bronze
For piercing contacts, crimp and wire-end sleeves, also pre-tinned.
Spring steel strip
For battery contacts and spring elements with high spring force.
Beryllium copper
For clamp sleeves and battery contacts with high conductivity and spring action.
