About us
Volmer Betonwerk develops and produces cement-bound agglomerates made from fine alloy materials and iron-bearing metallurgical residues. The service portfolio includes cement-bound agglomerate blocks, pressed alloy briquettes made from silicon carbide, ferrosilicon and manganese, and the briquetting of scale, sludge and dusts into usable moulded bodies. The offering is complemented by crushing and screening of raw materials into defined grain fractions, repackaging and maturing, weighing, interim storage and logistics services. The products support stable melting processes and safe dosing in steelworks and foundries. In addition, Volmer realises the construction and operation of complete block factories together with partners from the machinery and cement industries. The company has been working closely for decades with steelworks and foundries in the greater Duisburg area and develops alternatives to conventional alloy materials; research projects and cooperation with institutes ensure current standards.
