About Voltfang
Voltfang is an energy service provider based in Aachen that helps businesses reduce their energy costs. The solution portfolio includes battery storage for commercial and industrial applications, intelligent energy management systems, intraday trading, peak load shaving and self-consumption optimization. As a full-EPC service provider, Voltfang coordinates all trades from the potential analysis through civil engineering and installation to commissioning, and subsequently takes over technical operation with 24/7 remote monitoring and maintenance. At industrial scale, the company has realized, among other things, a large-scale battery storage system with 21 MWh capacity and 10 MW output on the former Philips site in Aachen as well as a 20 MWh storage system at the Regionetz substation in Alsdorf. In addition to new cells, Voltfang also uses second-life battery storage. Customers include Kemapack, Kerschgens Stahlhandel, Sedo Treepoint, Quarzwerk Baums, Teveo and McDonald's; the company is active in Germany and Portugal.
