VPL Coatings GmbH & Co KG is a medium-sized company based in the Bitterfeld-Wolfen Chemical Park (Saxony-Anhalt), specializing in exterior and interior protective coatings for the metal packaging industry. The portfolio includes standard solvent-based and water-based coatings as well as BPA n.i. coatings (BPA non-intent) for applications such as monobloc aerosol cans, aluminium tubes, beverage cans made of steel and aluminium, crown caps, twist-off closures, pilfer proof closures, long caps, EOE, valve disc caps, and sheet coatings for food and technical packaging. The core competence is the development of tailor-made coating systems in its own development laboratories; production is carried out by mixing raw materials according to defined formulations (binders, solvents, pigments, additives) on a permitted production plant. The company is set up for the production and filling of smallest quantities through to tank truck delivery and offers application technology support as well as technical service. Deliveries are made to the packaging industry throughout Europe. Quality management is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and environmental management according to ISO 14001:2015.

VPL Coatings is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 (certificate 31601670 QM15, DQS, valid until 30.06.2027) for development, production and distribution of packaging coatings as well as according to ISO 14001:2015 (31601670 UM15, valid until 05.08.2026). As an establishment, the operation falls under the lower class of the Major Accidents Ordinance; the plant fire brigade of the Bitterfeld-Wolfen Chemical Park is contractually engaged.
