About Vulcan Energy
Vulcan Energie Ressourcen GmbH is the German subsidiary of Vulcan Energy Resources Ltd. (listed on the ASX and FSE) and is developing an integrated lithium and geothermal business in the Upper Rhine Valley between Germany and France. From naturally hot, lithium-rich deep brine, the company produces lithium chemicals such as lithium chloride solution and lithium hydroxide monohydrate based on its proprietary VULSOR® adsorption technology, while simultaneously using geothermal heat for power and heat generation. Its range of services includes research, development, planning and engineering services for deep geothermal energy and lithium extraction, pilot plants for process optimisation (LEOP in Landau, CLEOP in Frankfurt) and the operation of a geothermal power plant in Insheim. The flagship project Lionheart is under construction and is intended to supply the European battery supply chain with regional lithium. Customer industries include battery manufacturing, electromobility, stationary energy storage and uninterruptible power supply for data centres. The company employs more than 450 staff in Germany, Australia and France.
