W+S Solutions GmbH is a family-owned manufacturer of silicone grips and accessories for surgical instruments based in Tuttlingen-Nendingen. From a design office founded in 2003 by Ulrich Wernz and Stephan Siebold, the company evolved and fully focused on medical technology in 2005. The portfolio includes silicone grips in several product lines, patented torque limiters up to 50 Nm, coupling systems, ratchets, hammers, the biocompatible silicone hand, and Trial Rods made of silicone with a core of stainless steel or nitinol. In addition, the company manufactures surgical instruments on a contract basis and pure silicone products to customer specifications – from prototypes to large-scale series, in various colors. Production takes place in a modern production building in the Nendingen industrial area; from there, the products go out into the whole world. The quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 13485, and the company is FDA-registered.
