About Wachendorff Automation
Wachendorff Automation develops and manufactures industrially robust rotary encoders and system solutions for highly accurate measurement of distance, direction of travel and angle of rotation at its headquarters in Geisenheim (Rheingau). The product portfolio includes incremental encoders (optical and magnetic, some NFC-configurable), absolute encoders with the patented QuattroMag and EnDra technologies, redundant encoders, motor feedback, digital shaft-copying systems for elevators, draw-wire systems, and length and speed measuring systems. Production is carried out in one-piece flow (LeanQ method); standard encoders are available as express production within 3 to 5 working days. Housings and components are made of V2A stainless steel, anodized aluminum, chrome-plated steel and plastics such as PA6 or glass-fiber-reinforced plastic. The devices are used in industries such as mobile working machinery, wind energy, crane construction, aerial rescue vehicles, automated guided vehicles, industrial automation, test bench construction and in-vitro diagnostics. More than 2,500 Wachendorff customer solutions are in series use worldwide; via a distributor network the company is represented in Europe, America as well as Asia & Pacific.

Materials and Technologies
Stainless steel V2A
Housings and shafts, e.g. of the WDGA 50V and WDG 58V encoders, for saltwater, ammonia and high-pressure cleaning applications.
Aluminum, anodized
Flange and housing material of the encoders and of the draw-wire systems of the Robust Line.
Steel, chrome-plated / zinc-coated
Housing rear sides and connection covers, e.g. on the redundant WDGR-58B series.
Glass-fiber-reinforced plastic
Housings of the draw-wire systems of the Pure Line (SZG50, SZG78, SZG107).
PA6
Spring housings of the draw-wire systems of the Robust Line.
NBR70 / Hytrel / Polyurethane
Coverings of the measuring wheels for matched grip and wear behavior.
Wiegand wire (EnDra technology)
Hard magnetic shell and soft magnetic core of the wear-free multiturn energy supply of absolute encoders.
