About Waldemar Then Bestattungen
Waldemar Then Bestattungen is an owner-managed family business in Viereth in Upper Franconia that has existed since 1953. Originally founded as a carpentry shop by Alfred Then, the business developed into a funeral home from the 1960s onwards; today Waldemar Then runs the company in the second generation and Markus Then in the third. The range of services covers the complete organisation of burials in the ground, cremation, sea and woodland burials as well as alternative forms of burial: advice, formalities, transfer, hygienic care, delivery of coffins and urns, organisation of the funeral service including floral decorations and music, as well as formalities after the burial. The craft carpentry tradition is the origin of the company's own range of coffins made of pine, oak, poplar and alder, as well as grave excavation and cemetery technology on various cemeteries. The portfolio is complemented by an in-house mourning print shop for mourning pictures, cards and banner prints, mourning pictures, photo books and Fingerprint Jewel.
