About Waldquelle
Waldquelle Kobersdorf Ges.m.b.H. is an Austrian mineral water bottler headquartered in Kobersdorf in Central Burgenland. The natural mineral water comes from the thermal spring line at the foot of the Pauliberg, Austria's youngest extinct volcano; by 2020, seven springs had been developed. Bottling takes place on the company premises outside the town on a 20,000 m² site, where the present bottling plant was built in 1986. The product range includes Waldquelle Mineralwasser in three carbonation levels (spritzig, sanft, still), fruit variants such as Waldquelle Frucht and Waldquelle 0% Zucker, as well as the functional water Waldquelle+ with vitamins and minerals; the brands Traubisoda and Magnesia also belong to the portfolio. Products are distributed throughout Austria via the grocery retail trade; since 2022, contract bottling for Pepsi in Austria has also been carried out. According to the company's own figures, in 2015 it reached second place among Austrian mineral water bottlers with sales of 183 million litres and employs around 80 staff, mostly from the region. Since 2008, Waldquelle has belonged to the Mattoni Group of the Italian-Swiss industrialist family Pasquale.
