Walter Kunststoffe GmbH is an Austrian company in the fields of compounding, masterbatching and recycling. At the Gunskirchen site, mineral compounds are manufactured with an annual production capacity of around 30,000 tonnes. The recycling division at the Wels site covers the processing of post-consumer waste as well as the upcycling of production waste and complies with the requirements of the Packaging Ordinance and the Waste Management Act. The company sees itself as a pioneer of sustainable, resource-conserving and environmentally sound solutions in the plastics industry and is one of only around a hundred companies in Europe certified under EMAS. The site in the heart of Europe, with connections to north/south and east/west motorway routes, enables logistically advantageous supply, particularly to markets in Eastern Europe.
