About Waterblokk
Waterblokk GmbH, based in Geilenkirchen, develops, produces and installs patented flood and heavy-rain protection systems for industrial, commercial and private customers. The company was triggered by the 2021 flood that severely damaged the restaurant of founder Arnd Rüsel at the Kornmühle in Geilenkirchen; as a result, the trained reinforced-concrete builder developed a protection system whose modules are made 100 % from recycled plastic sourced from Switzerland. The portfolio comprises four product lines: AIRPRESS BLOKK© (pressure-tight protection panels for windows, doors, shafts and hatches), FRAMEBLOKK© (permanently anchored frame protection for windows and doors), INFRABLOKK© (fillable, anchored barriers for properties and infrastructure) and GREENBLOKK© (greenable, fillable protection modules with Krinner ground anchors). In addition, the company offers individual protection concepts including hazard assessment, interior and exterior sealing, installation of backflow valves, mould remediation, drying out of masonry, equipment rental and workshops on handling the mobile elements. The workflow ranges from a free initial consultation through planning and custom production to precise final installation.
