About the Watzdorfer Experience Brewery
The Watzdorfer Traditions- und Spezialitätenbrauerei GmbH, based in Watzdorf, a district of Bad Blankenburg in Thuringia, brews according to a documented brewing levy from around 1411 and is thus one of the oldest brewing sites in Germany. The range includes beers such as Hell, Burg Pils, Festpils, Landbier, Schwarzbier and Bockbier as well as Naturradler Zitrone and the WATZI lemonades and soft drinks. Bottled beer is filled exclusively in the 0.33-liter Steini bottle with a tear-off cap. In the brewing process, the company relies on raw materials from Thuringia and the immediate surroundings and works together with farmers and businesses from the region. Products are sold to gastronomy and beverage retailers as well as via an online brewery shop. In addition to the brewery, the company operates an experience brewery with brewery tours, beer tastings and brewing seminars, event venue rooms (Schalander, brewery museum, Schwankhalle), a party and rental service with draught equipment, and a beer emergency service.
