About WAVELABS
WAVELABS Eternal Sun GmbH develops and manufactures LED-based solar simulators (LED flashers) for photovoltaic metrology at its Leipzig site. The devices of the SINUS series are used for I-V measurement and characterization of solar cells, mini-modules and modules in research and development as well as in production lines of solar cell and module manufacturing, including testing of bifacial cells and tandem/multijunction cells. In addition to standard simulators, the company offers customized special solutions as well as the software solution Flashboard for production analysis and machine-learning-based parameter optimization. All devices are manufactured in the 2.700 m² facility at the headquarters in Leipzig (Spinnereistr. 7) and shipped worldwide to most countries; installation and service are provided via global sales and service partners in China, Korea, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Customers include major PV manufacturers such as Hanwha Q CELLS as well as research and testing institutes such as the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB). In 2025, the company was acquired as an asset deal by the Dutch Eternal Sun Group and re-established as WAVELABS Eternal Sun GmbH.
