About WAWI
The WAWI Group is a family-owned company founded in 1957 by Walter Müller sen. with headquarters in Pirmasens (Rhineland-Palatinate). The company manufactures chocolate products, including chocolate figurines such as Easter bunnies and Santa Clauses as well as products of bestseller brands such as Nappo. Production takes place worldwide at eight sites on four continents, in Germany at the Pirmasens and Münchweiler locations as well as in China since 1994; global sales amount to more than 16,000 tonnes of chocolate products per year. At the headquarters in Pirmasens, the WAWI Schoko-Welt offers a factory outlet with café, an exhibition and a glass-walled production facility where visitors can watch the manufacture of chocolate figurines live. The management is in the hands of the founder's descendants, Walter Müller and Richard Müller. In 2021, a new production line was commissioned at the Münchweiler plant.
