webe GmbH, founded in 1991 and based in Oberickelsheim (Bavaria), is a company for customer-specific solutions in transmission technology. Since its founding, around 3,500 different cables, hoses, connectors, assemblies and hybrids have been developed, produced and marketed. The service portfolio includes round cables up to 45 mm system diameter (hybrid constructions up to 35 mm, individual wires from AWG 46/0.0398 mm to 15 mm), patented self-supporting flat cables from 0.6 to 25 mm thickness without cable drag chains, as well as systems, assemblies and on-site installations up to turnkey solutions. Development begins with requirement and specification documents and is supported by FEM simulation (computer-aided engineering), feasibility analyses, engineering models and prototypes as well as sample submission. Materials used include, among others, fluoropolymers such as FEP, PTFE and ETFE, Kapton, PEEK, TPE, PUR as well as copper conductors in various versions, StaKu and Lahn conductors, special alloys and conductive plastics. Customers come from mechanical engineering, linear drives, robotics, material handling and cleanroom applications; a worldwide partner network also supports projects internationally.
