Weber-Berger Gleis-, Weichen- und Tiefbau GmbH is a construction company headquartered in Wurzen (Nemt), Saxony, specialising in track-related railway construction services. Founded in 1992, the company covers the entire spectrum of track work: repair, maintenance as well as extension, installation and new construction of tracks and switches, level crossings, drainage systems and cable routing systems. In track civil engineering, subgrade layers are removed, ballast/protection layers are installed, track drainage pipes are constructed including outfall and shaft connections, and trough culverts, cable crossings and railway ditches are built. Approximately 95 percent of business volume comes from Deutsche Bahn, and around 5 percent from industrial sidings. The 23 employees work with an own equipment fleet consisting of road-rail Unimogs, road-rail excavators Liebherr 922, crawler and mobile excavators. The managing owner is Weber-Berger (Dipl. Ing. (FH) in railway construction engineering), and Peter Berger is Managing Director.
