WegscheidEntrenco GmbH specializes in turnkey biomass combined heat and power (CHP) plants for electricity and heat generation through wood gasification. The product range comprises standard modules of 50 kWel (wood pellets and wood chips), 135 kWel (wood chips, briquettes) and 250 kWel, which can be cascaded up to 2 MWel; in total, more than 130 plants have been installed worldwide. On request, the complete systems include the full peripheral equipment such as fuel delivery, drying, screening and conveying technology as well as electricity storage solutions. The fuels used are wood pellets, wood chips and briquettes made from residual and waste wood. The company also offers planning, commissioning, inspection, maintenance and remote monitoring. Customers come from industries such as hospitality, agriculture, food and wood processing, breweries, dairies, public institutions and heat networks; reference projects exist among others in Japan, the USA and Switzerland.
