About WEHA-Gummi
Weha-Gummiwaren-Fabrik Holzberg GmbH & Co. KG is a family-run, medium-sized company in Berlin that has been processing elastomers since 1949. At its location in southwest Berlin, the company manufactures customer-specific precision molded parts and multi-component parts from silicone rubber (LSR and HTV), rubber from natural and synthetic rubbers, thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and thermoplastics such as PBT with 45 employees. Injection molding realizes shot weights from 0.01 g to 300 g and part surfaces up to approximately DIN A4; the machine park comprises injection molding machines with clamping forces from 300 to 1,100 kN. In addition to classic single-component injection molding, multi-component parts are produced by hand insertion, two-injection-unit machines with rotary table and linked systems, including rubber-metal, silicone-ceramic and plastic-LSR bonds. The range of services includes design consulting, prototypes in the original material, assembly of sub-assemblies (also in cleanroom and EMC-shielded environments), function tests, printing, packaging and worldwide logistics including customs clearance. Customers come from the automotive industry, medical technology, household and sanitary technology, communications technology, mechanical engineering, ventilation and air-conditioning technology, and consumer goods.

Materials & Processes
Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)
Heat-resistant from -50 to +250 °C, plasticizer-free and biocompatible; for medical technology, food sector, automotive and drinking water applications (e.g. KTW, DVGW W270, FDA).
Silicone rubber (HTV)
For high-temperature resistant molded parts such as brake pads and seals in household and industrial applications.
Rubber (vulcanizates made of natural and synthetic rubbers)
Cross-linked elastomers with a wide range of compound properties for seals, dampers and bonds.
Nitrile rubber (NBR)
Oil-resistant elastomer for tolerance rings, wipers and connector sockets.
FKM (Viton)
For damping elements with high temperature and media resistance.
Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE)
Processable like plastic and elastic; for seals and multi-component bonds.
Thermoplastics (e.g. PBT)
For dimensionally stable plastic parts such as Ex-rated probes (PBT+LSR).
Ceramic and metal composites
Silicone and rubber bonds with metal, plastic or ceramic for multi-component functions.

Quality Management
A quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 (DQS) forms the basis of process-reliable manufacturing; due to many years of IATF 16949 certification, many requirements of this automotive standard are applied. Testing is carried out, among other things, with an optical 3D measuring machine, tensile/compression testing device, Shore hardness tester, precision analytical balance, microscope and rheometer, as well as customer-specific test equipment.
