About Weigel AG
Weigel AG is a Swiss family-owned company based in Wattwil in the Toggenburg region (canton of St. Gallen) that has been working with electronic devices since 1980. Its core product is the patented full-wave soft starter VSA for air-conditioning compressors, which is based on analog NTC technology and enables a sinusoidal, harmonics-free starting current without phase-angle control. The company covers the entire value chain from development through electronics assembly to 100% final inspection; repairs and tests are carried out exclusively in its own laboratory. The entire VSA product line is ready for dispatch within 24 hours. Customers are heat pump and air-conditioning technology manufacturers in Switzerland, Germany, the entire EU and worldwide; in addition, customer-specific solutions with a free feasibility study are offered. Since 2016, Christoph Weigel has been leading the company in its second generation.
