About Weigel & Schwarz
Weigel & Schwarz Präzisionstechnik GmbH in Wetzlar manufactures ready-to-install precision parts and assemblies made of aluminium, magnesium, stainless steel, brass, titanium and plastics in small and medium series. Machining is performed on 4- and 5-axis Hermle CNC machining centres, which are tended by automation through to the third shift. The service portfolio covers the procurement of raw materials, machining, surface technology such as anodising, painting, electropolishing and pickling including marking, as well as the assembly of ready-to-install assemblies and delivery. Quality assurance is carried out with tactile and optical CNC measuring machines; CAD/CAM data processing runs on TopSolid. Customers come from optics, pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum technology, linear technology, the automotive industry and general mechanical engineering. The company was founded in 1976 as Richard Weigel and has borne its current name since its acquisition by the Heinrich Schwarz GmbH in 1991.
