About the Wine Estate
Weingut Jakoby is a family wine-growing business in Maring-Noviand, a wine and holiday village in the Lieser Valley on the Mosel. Winegrowing has been in the family for generations; as was customary in the Mosel region, the cultivation of vineyards and wine production were formerly part of the agricultural farm. Today the wine estate has three trained winemakers at its disposal, including winemaker Lenz Jakoby. The vines are spread across individual parcels with around 3 ha in the Maringer Honigberg site and approx. 1 ha in the Sonnenuhr site. Products are Mosel wines, in particular Riesling (Levinoz Riesling), Pinot Noir Reservé (aged 23 months in barrique) and Weisser Burgunder (Pinot Blanc). The business includes a guesthouse; wine sales take place via an online shop.
